We know that surgery can be a stressful experience for you and your pet. The doctors and the staff at Falcon Valley Animal Hospital strive to keep your pet as comfortable as possible during all procedures. If you have questions about your pet's surgery, please ask us! We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Anesthesia and complete pain management comprise an important part of our surgical protocols. Before surgery, anti-anxiety medication and/or sedation is provided prior to all procedures to ensure the relaxation and comfort of your pet. During surgery, your pet's safety is our first priority. Falcon Valley Animal Hospital uses isoflurane gas anesthesia, and advanced monitoring equipment is used to monitor your pet's condition, including blood pressure, ECG / heart monitoring, blood oxygen level, respiration, and temperature. During surgery and throughout the recovery period, a trained veterinary technician monitors your pet and keeps a close watch on his or her vital signs. Heated padding and blankets are provided for your pet's comfort. It is our goal that your pet is comfortable and pain-free before, during and after surgery.
